Memorial Day Weekend
I know this is late getting put up but we have been so busy. Well we had a great memorial day weekend. We didn't go to camp because we are going to California for 15 days this month so we decided not to spend the money on camp this year. We did want to do something with the kids though. We decided to go to Dallas and take the kids to two museums and lunch while we were there. The first museum we went to was an air plane museum. It was really neat and they boys loved it.
This last picture was a fun one to get. The helecopter the boys are in is not one you can normally get in. The man standing by saw the boys and took down the ropes and bungies to keep you from climbing in it and let the boys check it out. It was really neat to talk to him. He was a helecopter pilot at one time in his life for the military. I would highly suggest going to this museum for anyone who needs something to do in Dallas Texas.
The next museum was the nature and science museum. We were able to use our passes from the Fort Worth Museum to get into this one. It also is really fun but it is huge!! The visiting exhibit was The Majic School bus. i was a good one. Here are thepictures from that.
Sunday Shawn took Conner and went to a very small meeting. I stayed home with DaraLynn who was running a fever from the two teeth she is working on and Logan who was having a lot of trouble with his asthma.
On Monday we had a few people over for dinner and had a great time. Here are the pictures from that time.
As you can see we had lots of stuff for the kids to do. They had a pool to swim in, a slip and slide, and about 500 water balloons to throw. I even got in on the water balloon action for a while. It was fun.
This was absalutly the funniest thing ever. Warren had been sitting in one of my old, metal patio chairs for a long time and then he got up to get something and sat back down and all of the sudden the chair stated slowly sinking down to the floor. The look on Warren's face was priceless and we all were laughing hysterically. Even Warren. It was so funny.
The whole weekend was a blast. I really enjoyed the time with my family on Saturday and it was a blast having everyone over on Monday. A big highlight for me was visiting with Kelly before everyone else arrived. It was great to get to know her better and to be able to get and give pointers on the areas we are struggling with as mothers.

Looks like fun. I would like to take my kids to those museums some time. Even though they are older, I think they would enjoy it.
